I was trying to see how can i find out if an individual stone is worth the investment in cutting beforehand?
The reason for knowing so is that I could try to sell it for more than I put into the cutting or at least have good quality stones for personal jewelry.
I am trying to see where I can look for places to get this advice in my area.

How To Sell Your Gemstones Question: Hello, I recently inherited about 40 decent sized Emeralds (not the greatest) but not really low quality either.
Gemstones: Quality and Value, Volume 1
Price: $137.75 USD
About 20 star ruby’s as well in the same condition.
What is the range for these types of gem stones (low to high) and in your opinion what is the lowest price I should accept if I were to take these to a jeweler and sell them?
I know you can’t see them and I appreciate any “general” input you may have.

Emerald Question: Any tips on a reasonable buy of a vvs or vsi emerald?
Are they all oil filled?
Why such the subjective pricing?
I observe such huge discrepancies in the so called “value” of the stone?

The first thing you should understand is that terms such as VVS or VS are ONLY applicable to Diamonds. They have NO such influence when it comes to Emerald.
