The simple answer is, one is natural - made by God - mined out of the ground.

The other is UN-natural - made by man - created in a laboratory.

In saying that, you have to understand that diamonds and all gemstones are made from living (in a sense) growing things. They are called CRYSTALS and over thousands of years they grow - yes really.

So all the mad scientists thought ‘if we can grow crystals in a lab’ - they will have ‘CREATED’ a man made synthetic gemstone.

It has been very common to ‘grow’ synthetic Emeralds, Sapphires, Ruby and even opal. They have been doing this since the 19th Century when Queen Victoria was on the throne. But they couldn’t make diamonds. It was just too hard.

Eventually - these mad scientists (quite clever people really) discovered how to grow or create diamonds under immense heat and extreme pressures.

So that’s what they are - Man made. Give me Natural anyday.
