gemstone Question: How does a Diamond Probe work?

Can we use it on gemstones as well?

Answer: G’day and many thanks for your query

The simple answer is NO - You cannot use a diamond probe on gemstones in EXACTLY the same way…

Diamonds have a particular quality which disperses heat better than other gemstones. A diamond probe sends a minute impulse into the gemstone and measures the reaction to that pulse.

Only diamond has this quality so it will not work on other gemstones as they give a lower figure to the pulse.
