Answer: G'day and many thanks for your query
All gemstones (minerals) have three basic properties.
- Optical
- Chemical
- Physical
As synthetic gemstones (made by man in a Lab) have the same Optical, Chemical and Physical properties as the Natural gemstone - they too are classified as being 'REAL'.
You might like to add this query to my blog at http://how2valuejewelry.com/ as other may have had a similar problem. Can't hurt anyway and who knows what answers you may get.
