If you use the Gemstone Specification Lab Report Certificate as proof of authenticity of an item during resale to a Third party, and that certificate is later found to be 'Inaccurate' YOU will be held accountable...

You can't blame the software if you filled in misleading information. Computer systems are dumb machines (great at doing thousands of calculations though) but can only report what you feed into it.

As the person responsible, you must present accurate figures, weights, measurements and facts as applicable, to the best of your knowledge and ability. This is YOUR Legal and Ethical issue.

After all; no-one else can see, feel, measure or touch the item in question.

Similar to filling in your TAX form or providing information to your accountant.
We will do all the calculations but BASED ON YOUR INPUT.

If you are unsure as to the identity of a gemstone, for example, get a second opinion.

If there is ANY doubt as to the gemstone under review, get a Professional Appraisal done by an independent party.
